Extruded heat sink

The aluminium extrusion process allows profiles of infinite shapes, even complex ones, to be obtained. By varying the shape of the profile, the surface area in contact with the air changes and, consequently, the dissipation capacity. Extruded products are generally used in medium-power systems in both natural and forced convection.

Extruded heat sinks are presented according to shape (E, L, H, T, U, P flat back and PC flat back with cover), width and height, and organised in ascending order of size. For example, P400 40 indicates an extruded comb-shaped heat sink, 400 mm wide and 40 mm high.
